Rolf Reding, Patrick Müller, Joshua Reynolds and Yves Meyer proved the qualities of the EventSeelisberg drivers at the Nürburgring.

Time Attack is an unlicensed type of motorsport that involves competing on circuits for the fastest time in an individual time trial in qualifying and in a hotlap. With more than 85 participants in the European Championship, a successful counterpart to the World Time Attack Masters in Sidney (AUS) could be created.

The top class is called Extreme, where everything is allowed that is not expressly forbidden. Engines with 1000 hp are not uncommon. However, Yves Meyer, who acts as instructor and course manager at EventSeelisberg and Swiss Driving Event, relies on an original and rather underpowered Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 in this competition.

Nevertheless, the man from central Switzerland won the title in the German championship and the European championship with it. "What I lose against the horsepower monsters on the straights, I was able to make up for in the corners thanks to the sophisticated aerodynamics. But I'm afraid that soon this won't be enough..."

German champion and European champion in the 2017 Time Attack Masters: Yves Meyer crosses the finish line at the Nürburgring in his Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

Patrick Müller earned the same honors with his 650-hp Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX in the Pro 4WD class.

Remo Huonder managed third place in the German Championship with his even more powerful Evo IX in the Extreme class. In the separate competition for the final EM points, the man from Grisons dropped out with engine damage.

Müller and Huonder drove their Mitsubishi Evo IX to top times.

As coach and head of the Swiss Race Academy, which launched the Swiss Junior Mountain Championship this year, Yves Meyer also took two of his protégés from this year to the Nürburgring. They also contributed to the success of the Seelisberger.

Junior mountain champion Rolf Reding achieved third place in class with his BMW M3 E36, as did Joshua Reynolds with an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the German Time Attack Masters. Meyer: "They did sensationally well and proved that they can also handle other cars on the circuit. We're particularly pleased about that."
