Despite strong competition from Dylan Yip and constant pressure during qualifying, Hirsiger demonstrated outstanding skills in his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. "It's fantastic to start the season like this," said Hirsiger after the race. "Every racing driver dreams of dominating the Red Bull Ring, and today was the day for me."

Ekaterina Lüscher, a 17-year-old up-and-coming driver, stole the show in the GT4 Clubsport race. She fought her way up from a mid-position on the grid to third place and impressed the crowd and the experts.
