A step closer to his career goal: Kris Richard is looking forward to his new role in GT3 racing.

Kris Richard has tested with Phoenix Racing on Audi several times in recent months. However, he has now decided in favor of another team and another brand. The offer to compete in the Blancpain GT Endurance Cup with Daiko Lazarus Racing in a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 was too tempting. The TCR category, in which he last drove a Hyundai i30 N in the TCR Europe, is now history for him.

Junior Driver from R-Motorsport
The deciding factor for Richard was not least the Italian team's partnership with R-Motorsport. Richard is allowed to act as an official Junior Driver for Aston Martin St. Gallen and their sporting department and benefit from their support in several areas on the sidelines of the race tracks.

Kris Richard: "I see this as a great opportunity to move forward in GT racing thanks to R-Motorsport. The Blancpain Endurance Cup is a cool series at the highest level and Lamborghini is a brand with which a lot of emotions are associated. It's also interesting for my personal partners."

The Swiss driver's teammates are the Italian Fabrizio Crestani and the German Nicolas Pohler. The Blancpain GT Endurance Cup comprises five endurance races at Monza, Silverstone (3 hours each), Le Castellet (1000 km), Spa (24 hours) and Barcelona (3 hours). The season starts at Monza on April 13/14.

In the dense GT3 field, the Blancpain Endurance is fought for success in various categories. The Lazarus Lambo is to play a leading role in the Silver Cup.

Battle for the Silver Cup
Primary objectives are top Silver Cup rankings for Silver rated drivers and a point or two in the overall standings.

Kris Richard: "There's a lot at stake now. I have to prove myself in 2019 and really deliver. Then new doors could open. My goal is and remains to become a professional racing driver - with a factory contract. I'm subordinating everything to that this year."
