After just one year in Formula 4, Jasin Ferati ventures into a Formula 3 junior formula.

After the premiere year with Jenzer Motorsport in Formula 4, the promotion to Formula 3 is the courageous but logical continuation of Jasin Ferati's racing career. The FIA Formula Regional by Alpine, which was created from the merger between the RenaultEurocup and the old Formula Regional, is an ideal platform for ambitious young drivers.

The cars are Tatuu's T-318 Formula 3 race cars, 1.8-liter turbocharged engines from Alpine with 270 hp and Pirelli tires. Ten events with two races each on Formula 1 circuits are on the schedule, including appearances at the Monaco and Spanish Grand Prix.

First test in March
In addition to Formula 3 drivers, many talents from Formula 4 are venturing into the new championship, for which 13 teams from all over Europe have been considered. Ferati, as a driver for the Italian team Monolite Racing, will meet some familiar faces from the karting and Formula 4 days.

Jasin Ferati: "Since I was only allowed to take a seat in the car at the seat rehearsal in Noventa, I'm very excited about the test drives in Imola in mid-March. The fact that I know and appreciate this track well is reassuring. I also like the fact that you can't practice with these race cars as you like, but only as part of the limited test days. So everyone has the same conditions when things finally get underway."

Thumbs up: Team boss Rudi Mariotto is convinced that he can achieve something with the 17-year-old Swiss.

Anticipation for Monaco
The Winterthur native, who is about to complete his apprenticeship, is looking forward to the new challenge. He has been well received by Rudi Mariotto and Andrej Slask's team, which has been strengthened on the technical side by the equally experienced and successful Fabio Zilio.

Jasin Ferati: "Now it's up to me to fulfill the high expectations. I would therefore like to thank everyone who has always believed in me and is now making it possible for me to compete in Formula 3. The fact that we're only racing on Grand Prix circuits in the new championship is something very special. I'm most looking forward to the streets of Monaco. I think it's extremely cool to be able to compete there alongside Formula 1."

More than 30 participants are expected in the new forecourt of the FIA Championships, including last year's Formula 4 dominators Gabriele Mini, Francesco Pizzi, Dino Beganovic, Andrea Rosso and Haverkort, in addition to seasoned Formula 3 drivers. Léna Bühler is another Swiss entering this formula.
