The Glarner, who lives in Zurich, was given ten penalty seconds for the alleged goal error. As a result, the day's win went to sports car driver Lukas Eugster. Prior to this, Philip Egli had won all five races in the Swiss Slalom Championship in his Dallara EPR-2.
In his letter, Egli emphasizes: "I did not notice in my second race run that I had committed an alleged gate error. Based on my onboard video, I can prove that I did not make a mistake at gate 60 and that the pylon was already on the ground meters away."
Further Egli explains, "With the onboard video I can present a new fact which the jury can use to re-evaluate the situation. I request a revision of the final ranking of the 2019 Chamblon Slalom according to ISG Article 14."
