Seat: Fine tuning for Leon model year 2017

Things are happening: Seat is continuing its product offensive with the new Leon. The model, which is one of the brand's three pillars, stands for comfort, technology and quality. But also for design, dynamics, pleasure, enthusiasm and easy handling. Although one of the main reasons for the model's success is its design, a few changes [...]

Seat Leon: The model will be available in Switzerland as a 5-door or ST station wagon (pictured). Prices have not yet been fixed. Sales will start at the beginning of next year.

Although one of the main reasons for the model's success is its design, a few changes have been made. Nevertheless, the design language typical of the Seat Leon has remained unchanged. The front and rear have sharper, more pointed lines than the current model and side lines that are less pronounced at the front and rear. The taillights and front headlights feature full-LED technology. Following the launch of the Seat Ateca with its various driving assistance systems, it is now the Seat Leon's turn to receive an update. These include a traffic jam assistant and radar-controlled adaptive cruise control.

Gasoline, diesel or natural gas drive as desired
The new Seat Leon will be offered in four equipment lines at the start of sales. The engines will meet all requirements: diesel, gasoline or CNG (compressed natural gas). Diesel models include a new 115-hp 1.6 TDI engine, and for the Seat Leon ST, the 2.0 TDI 150 hp 4Drive is now available with a seven-speed DSG transmission. The TDI engine range starts with the 115 hp 1.6 liter TDI and ends with the 184 hp 2.0 liter TDI. The gasoline engines range from 85 to 180 hp. The new 1.4 liter TGI version can run on compressed natural gas or gasoline.
