Exterior: With 20-inch wheels, a panoramic windshield pulled far forward and a curved window line, the Renault Scenic presents new solutions.

After exactly 20 years, the new edition of the Scenic is being launched on the market. It impresses with its dynamic design: the French car is modern and, above all, independent across the board, with great variability, numerous assistance systems and, as usual, maximum comfort.

At market launch, there will be a choice of two turbocharged petrol and four turbodiesel variants for the two models, covering the range from 110 to 160 hp. All engines come from the ENERGY family and are equipped with stop-start automatic transmission. The range of petrol engines consists of the TCe 115 and TCe 130 engines, each with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel range includes the engines dCi 110 with 6-speed manual gearbox, dCi 110 EDC with 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, dCi 130 with 6-speed manual gearbox and dCi 160 EDC with twin-turbo technology and 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In the particularly economical dCi 110 variant, the Scenic makes do with just 3.9 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers and 100 g CO2/km.

Interior: The cockpit is impressive with a large screen and a head-up display that is recommended for safe driving. The Renault Scenic has various assistance systems.

Swiss prices start at 23,400 francs
An initial test drive has shown that both the 130 hp petrol engine and the 160 hp turbodiesel provide optimum driving conditions. With the petrol engine, power is transferred to the road via a manual 6-speed gearbox, although an automatic version may also be available at a later date. In the diesel version, on the other hand, the practical 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox takes care of power transmission. As usual with Renault, there are only positive things to report in terms of driving comfort. Both models are extremely family-friendly, and this also applies to the prices. The Scenic ranges from 23,400 to 35,300 francs, while the Grand Scenic goes from 24,200 to 36,100 francs.
