Lexus: Japanese-style luxury in the ES
MORE COMFORT For more than 30 years, the Lexus ES business sedan has impressed drivers and passengers with its exceptionally smooth ride and refined handling. Now the new edition is also coming to Switzerland.
The Lexus ES was launched in 1989 together with the large LS sedan and has sold more than three million units to date. Today, the model is offered in around 80 countries and regions. The current-generation ES is now also being launched in Switzerland.
The Japanese brand's GA-K (Global Architecture - K) platform forms the basis for the ES's commanding presence. It allowed the designers to push the boundaries of sedan styling. With a longer wheelbase, wider track widths and a flatter hood, the sedan was given even more elegant proportions.
Hey Lexus responds to voice commands
Driver and passengers enjoy comfortable seating. The sports seats of the ES 300h F Sport are inspired by those of the LC Coupé, and the Impression and F Sport versions feature seats in Tahara synthetic leather. In the Comfort and Excellence versions, they are leather upholstery. The steering wheel angle, pedal positioning and 16-way seat adjustment support a relaxed seating position on long business trips. The ES also offers maximum quietness in the interior.
The ES is equipped with the Hey Lexus on-board assistant. It responds to voice commands, making it easier to make phone calls, operate the audio and climate systems, and search for information on the Internet. The assistant recognizes 19 European languages.
Fourth generation hybrid system
The ES 300h is equipped with fourth-generation self-charging Lexus hybrid drive. It offers spontaneous responsiveness and promises low emissions. The hybrid system consists of a 2.5-liter Atkinson gasoline engine and a compact electric motor. Lexus quotes 218 hp as the system output, and WLTP consumption is 5.3 l/100 km. The nickel-metal hydride battery that powers the electric motor is located under the rear seats.
The Lexus ES ensures carefree driving, also thanks to the new service-activated warranty of ten years or 185,000 kilometers - with additional package Assistance 24/7.
