Jaguar is making its F-Type sports car fit for the future with an extensive model update.

The front end in particular has been redesigned, giving the F-Type a completely different appearance. The sculpted hood now runs around smoother and instead of the raised headlights, the feline predator now winks through narrow, horizontally arranged eyes.

Tail lights in jagged signature
It now also demonstrates more family closeness from the rear. Here, however, the Jaguar stylists have been much more careful. The slim LED taillights are no longer round in the lower section, but have a similarly jagged signature, like the I-Pace electric SUV. All measures make the sports car appear more elongated, although the length has remained the same at 4.47 meters.

F-Type
With fine materials such as Windsor leather, the F-Type presents itself even more dignified.

Display instead of round instruments
The interior of the F-Type has also not remained untouched for the 2020 model year. Instead of the previous round instruments, the driver now looks at a 12.3-inch display.

The new TFT instrument cluster can be configured in several ways. For example, the centrally positioned tachometer can be replaced with a full-size map view.

Top model now with 575 hp output
There is also a choice of three engines. The two-liter turbo gasoline engine with 300 hp and rear-wheel drive forms the basis. Above this is the 450 hp eight-cylinder supercharged engine, which is optionally available with all-wheel drive.

There was more power for the top model. The five-liter supercharged V8 now produces 575 hp instead of 550 and has a maximum torque of a whopping 700 Newton meters.

From zero to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds
All-wheel drive is always standard on the Jaguar F-Type P575 AWD. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 300 km/h (limited). As with the smaller engines, power transmission is handled by an eight-speed automatic, which is said to excel with fast shift times.

The new F-Type is available to order now and starts in Switzerland from 73,500 Swiss francs
