Hyundai: All-New Nexo creates clean air

TECHNOLOGY WITH A FUTURE The next chapter in hydrogen electromobility has also been opened in Switzerland. With the Hyundai All-New Nexo, the brand is launching the second generation of the standard hydrogen electric vehicle. Roland Gysel, CEO of Gyso AG and H2-electric driver from the very beginning, switches from the ix35 Fuel Cell to one of the first Hyundai All-New Nexo.

Fuel cell as its own power plant
Roland Gysel was one of the first Swiss customers to order the All-New Nexo: "I've been driving an ix35 Fuel Cell for three and a half years. In the meantime, the meter shows 59,000 kilometers that I've covered throughout Switzerland. My conclusion: I'm driving electrically, but with the fuel cell I have virtually my own power plant on board. I can refuel the hydrogen in no time at all, the range remains quite stable even in winter, and only water vapor comes out of the exhaust!"

Range up to 600 kilometers
Asked about the few hydrogen filling stations in Switzerland, Roland Gysel says: "Someone has to make a start. The vehicle is there and the technology is convincing. I had the chance to test the All-New Nexo. It's a finished car, looks good, drives absolutely silently and offers a range that's well over 600 kilometers. With so many advantages, it can only be a matter of time before the filling station network is in place in Switzerland."

Filling station infrastructure for Switzerland
Veljko Belamaric, Managing Director of Hyundai Suisse: "With the ix35 Fuel Cell, we have been proving for almost five years that it works, also in Switzerland. For us, it's an important signal that we can send to Hyundai Motor from Switzerland - all the more so as the Förderverein H2-Mobilität Schweiz (Swiss H2 Mobility Promotion Association) is currently creating the conditions to set up the filling station infrastructure quickly and efficiently."

Microparticles are filtered out of the air
In the segment of currently available electric vehicles (with battery or fuel cell), the All-New Nexo offers the greatest range. The values can be compared with a conventional combustion engine and thus also enable longer trips.
Another advantage: The efficient and durable high-performance filter of the All-New Nexo can filter microparticles smaller than 2.5 micrometers from the air. This means that, on the move, the All-New Nexo sifts 99.9 percent of all fine dust particles from the air that passes through the filter. Certainly a sensible technical solution.
In Switzerland, the Hyundai All-New Nexo is available from 84,900 Swiss francs.
