The all-electric Hyundai Kona is used as a patrol vehicle by the police.

Hanspeter Krüsi, spokesman for the St. Gallen Cantonal Police: "The new vehicles are just the beginning. In the next year and a half, another 15 electric cars will strengthen the fleet of the St. Gallen police. It is clearly a contribution to environmental protection. It's progressive and we're going along with society. You might have to drive a little differently, might also have to think about - if you drive more than 400 to 500 kilometers - where you can get electricity again."

Minimum range and price are important
Decisive for the purchase was not only the performance, but also the minimum range and the price. Hanspeter Krüsi: "You don't have to be afraid that the car will run out of juice on the track. That's not a problem at all, the cars are highly technologized."
