Porsche: The GTS fulfills customer wishes 🎥

POWER PUR It is the three magical letters GTS that make the hearts of Porsche fans beat faster. GTS stands for Gran Turismo Sport and is actually a homologation designation from motorsport. With the new 911 GTS models, five more variants of the iconic sports car are coming to the showrooms of Porsche dealers. The Carrera GTS is available as a Coupé and a Cabriolet, with and without all-wheel drive. The Targa is still only available with all-wheel drive.

Porsche Carrera GTS
The Carrera GTS closes the gap between the 450 hp Carrera S and the 580 hp Turbo.

Dual-clutch transmission or manual gearbox
The six-cylinder boxer engine delivers 480 hp. That is 30 hp more than the current 911 Carrera S or the previous 911 GTS. However, the GTS engine always has 480 hp.

The transmission can be selected in the configurator. There is a choice of an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a seven-speed manual gearbox, both of which are available as standard and therefore cost no extra.

GTS lightweight package on offer for the first time
The GTS-specific suspension with one centimeter lowering, Porsche Active Suspension Management and the high-performance brakes from the 911 Turbo also do not have to be paid for separately.

For the first time, a GTS lightweight package can be ordered, which saves up to 25 kilograms thanks to lightweight full bucket seats made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, lightweight glass on the front, door and rear windows and a lightweight lithium-ion battery. The rear seat system and floor mats also fall victim to the economy measures. The lightweight package will be available from November 2021.

Bitingly responsive six-cylinder
Almost two years after the launch of the 992, the Zuffenhausen-based company is making the leap down to the 911 Turbo models. The GTS models offer exclusive design features, more power and, if desired, less weight than the standard 911 models.

The bitingly responsive six-cylinder boxer engine accelerates with noticeable power right up to the upper speed range, and it harmonizes magnificently with the lightning-fast shifting dual-clutch transmission.
It's almost boring to say it over and over again, but the GTS is once again the most interesting overall package in the current 911.

Modifications to suit the customer's taste
Despite all the lightweight construction: unlike the GT3, you cannot do without the sports chrono clock. The infotainment system was redeveloped in anticipation of the other 911 versions, but the instrumentation still leaves something to be desired: Its outer areas are concealed by the steering wheel rim, depending on the setting.

Stylistically, the GTS is characterized by a series of modifications that reflect the tastes of most customers. These include darkened and black design elements, and the rims are also painted black.

Voice control and wireless Apple Carplay
The infotainment upgrade is brand new in the GTS. Apple Music and Podcast are now integrated here. If you like a song currently playing on the radio, you can add it to Apple Music using drag and drop.

There is also improved voice control and wireless Apple Carplay. Android is also available. This makes driving fun,

Five model variants are available at prices starting at 174,100 francs: 911 Carrera GTS with rear-wheel drive as Coupé and Cabriolet, 911 Carrera 4 GTS with all-wheel drive as Coupé and Cabriolet and the 911 Targa 4 GTS with all-wheel drive.
