Didier Pironi once sat in this Tyrrell 008, but today the car is owned by Phimmoracing boss Hans Peter, who drives it in historic events.

The maximum number of participants defined in consultation with the race organizers from ACS Mitte was exceeded for the first time this year in terms of registrations. This lays the foundation for a successful realization from June 12 to 14, 2020.

Capacity limit reached
The only drawback is that not all registered drivers will receive a starting place. The selection of the eligible vehicles is based on defined criteria. By limiting the field of participants to a total of 270 vehicles (220 cars and 50 motorcycles), the quality and safety of the event is guaranteed.

Sauber and Formula 1
Among the participants are well-known names such as Eugen Strähl with the 1978 Sauber C5, Hans Peter with a 1978 Tyrrell 008 F1, Fredy Amweg in the Amweg BMW F2 and Jo Vonlanthen with his GRD 273 F2. Also among the starters is Peter Sauber, probably with the Sauber C1. In 1970, he became Swiss sports car champion with this car and a victory at the Kerenzerberg race.

Ex-Swiss champion EUgen Strähl still moves a sports car like the Sauber C5-BMW very quickly. In June also at the Kerenzerberg (photos: Franz Leupi).

Historically low entrance fee
Not only the vehicles on display are historic, but also the admission price. At just 5 francs, admission to the grounds costs the same as it did when the event was held 50 years ago. The organizer attaches great importance to keeping the entrance fees low and wants to reach as wide an audience as possible.

All spectator areas and the paddock are within easy walking distance of the Näfels-Mollis train station. Arrival by public transport is recommended. The bus service over the Kerenzerberg will be offered free of charge according to a special timetable.
