New AMAG office building being built in Cham

AMAG The AMAG Group is expected to move into a new office building in Cham in the third quarter of 2019. Various divisions and departments that are currently still housed at other locations are to be brought together here. In Cham, Alfred Müller AG is building the "Helix" development in the immediate vicinity of AMAG Zug. On completion, it will comprise four buildings with a total of just under 23,000 m² of service space, to be realized in two stages. AMAG will lease the office buildings in the first construction phase on a long-term basis. A number of departments currently located at other sites will then move to the new AMAG office building.

Areas move
The majority of the workforce at AMAG Import, AMAG Leasing AG, the central administration and the support areas at the current sites in Schinznach-Bad, Buchs ZH, Baden-Dättwil and Zurich Utoquai will then work in the new AMAG office building in Cham. The relocation or consolidation of the units with around 850 employees is planned for the third quarter of 2019. Not affected by the relocation are the entire parts logistics operations of AMAG Import in Buchs ZH, the AMAG Academy in Schinznach-Bad, and the AMAG garage operations in Schinznach-Bad and Zurich Utoquai.

Important partner
In addition to car-related businesses, AMAG also includes AMAG Leasing AG as a financial services provider and AMAG Services AG, which operates various parking garages and is a licensee of the Europcar car rental company for Switzerland. The entire Group currently employs around 5,600 people, including over 700 apprentices.
