Environmental List
MAN's eTGE is one of the light commercial vehicles included and rated in the Auto-Environment list.

Three new electric cars have entered the Swiss market since March. These are the Model 3 from Tesla in three engine versions, the Nissan Leaf e+ and the EQC from Mercedes. For the second half of 2019 and especially for 2020, various car manufacturers have announced numerous new electric models.

Novelties from many manufacturers
The best new models with combustion engines, which achieve the highest rating of 5 stars, are the Seat Arona 1.0 TGI powered by natural gas/biogas, the UX 250h hybrid model from Lexus and the Renault Clio TCe 100 gasoline compact car.

Numerous gas models evaluated
A number of models that were temporarily not approved due to the changeover to the new WLTP measurement cycle can now also be rated on the basis of the new data. Of these, eleven models also achieve five stars.
These include numerous models powered by natural gas/biogas: VW Golf and Polo; Leon, Ibiza and Mii (no longer on sale as new cars, now converted to electric drive) from Seat, Opel Astra, and Audi A3, A4 and A5 g-tron. In addition, the gasoline Toyota Aygo and Mazda 2.

Delivery van with electric drive
The range of electric models for vans is also expanding. Newly registered in Switzerland are the two identical vans eTGE from MAN and the e-Crafter from VW, as well as the e-Vito from Mercedes.
All the details and reviews of the vans and car models can be found on the website.
The VCS environmental list for cars and vans takes into account emissions of the greenhouse gas CO2, noise, and, for vehicles with combustion engines, air pollutants. For electric vehicles, the environmental damage caused by battery production is included.

Limiting global warming
Anette Michel, project manager of the Auto Environmental List: "The environmental list gives the highest weighting to the contribution to climate heating by CO2 emissions. To limit global warming, motorized traffic must be reduced and powered by fuels from renewable sources. This is possible today with electric or biogas vehicles."
