The Scala G-Tec is powered by a three-cylinder turbo with a displacement of 1.0 liters and 90 hp. Maximum torque is 160 Nm and is transmitted via a 6-speed manual transmission.
According to preliminary measurements, the range is around 410 kilometers. In combination with the nine-liter gasoline tank, the total range is around 630 kilometers.
The Scala G-Tec meets the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions standard and CO2 emissions are reduced by around 25 percent compared with gasoline operation. In addition, there are fewer nitrogen oxides (NOx) and no soot particles.
Automatic switch to gasoline mode
The Scala G-Tec has three interconnected steel CNG tanks that hold 13.79 kilograms of natural gas. If the CNG supply is exhausted, the Scala automatically switches to gasoline mode. With fuel from an additional 9-liter tank, it can cover around 220 more kilometers.
Market launch in Switzerland at the end of the year
The 1.0 G-Tec is available in the Scala with the Active, Ambition and Style equipment lines and is equipped with front and rear disc brakes. Like all Scala models, the G-Tec variants also offer lane departure warning and front wheel assist with city emergency braking function as standard, as well as LED headlights and taillights, optionally also in full LED version.
The market launch of the new Skoda Scala G-Tec will take place in Switzerland in the fourth quarter of the current year. Prices have not yet been set.
