The "Levante" SUV from Maserati is available for the 2018 model year with a new, third engine lineup and numerous other innovations.

The Maserati Levante is not only the brand's first SUV, but also the model that has become a bestseller in the model range in just over a year. From now on, Levante buyers also have the option to further diversify and customize their vehicle through the GranLusso and GranSport versions.

Equipment lines
The exterior of the Levante GranLusso version features stainless steel roof rails, body-color side sills, black brake calipers and 19-inch alloy wheels. The Levante GranSport presents itself dynamically by picking up on Maserati's motorsport tradition. It is evident, among other things, in the sports seats, the sports steering wheel and the shift paddles on the steering column. Also part of the standard GranSport equipment are the electrically adjustable pedals in stainless steel, parking sensors and the navigation system.

New 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine
In addition to the two engine options already available, the Levante Diesel and Levante S (430 hp), Maserati is now adding the Levante to the range. The new 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine produces 257 kW/350 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 500 Nm at 4000 rpm. Equipped with gasoline direct injection, the powerplant accelerates the SUV to 100 km/h in six seconds and gives it a top speed of 251 km/h (all factory figures). The Levante is available in Switzerland immediately at a base price of 83,300 Swiss francs.

More precise steering behavior
Another new feature is that all model versions now feature Electric Power Steering (EPS) instead of hydraulic steering. The advantages over the previous technology are better handling onroad and offroad, significantly more precise steering behavior, less weight and lower maintenance requirements.
