The launch of the Urus SE, the first plug-in hybrid in this SUV series, marks the start of a new chapter for Lamborghini. The new model will be shown at the Volkswagen Group Evening at Auto China in Beijing before celebrating its world premiere on April 25. With a fresh design, optimized aerodynamics, new on-board technology and a powerful hybrid drive, the PHEV version is set to overtake the Urus S in terms of comfort, performance, efficiency, emissions and driving pleasure. Thanks to the two hearts, the thermal and the electric, the Urus SE achieves maximum torque and power while reducing emissions by up to 80 percent.

Incomparable driving experience
"With the Urus, we have achieved a paradigm shift in the world of SUVs and opened up a new segment," explains Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. "Since then, the model has become our brand's bestseller. It has enabled Lamborghini to win new customers and strengthen its position in the most important markets. With the Urus SE, we are now taking a further step towards the future."

The Urus SE offers a unique driving experience. This is ensured by the new electric torque vectoring system, among other things. It provides more torque and power at any speed between the two axles and the electronic rear axle differential. Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer at Lamborghini, says: "The Urus SE is now the undisputed leader in its segment in terms of driving pleasure and driving dynamics. It is a super SUV that harmoniously combines many qualities."

Biturbo V8 and electric motor
The four-liter biturbo V8 works in synergy with the electric drivetrain. It develops a maximum of 620 hp (456 kW) and 800 Nm of torque and is combined with an electric drivetrain with 141 kW (192 hp) and 483 Nm of torque. The system develops a total output of 588 kW (800 hp) and guarantees an optimum power curve in every driving mode and on every surface. The permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is integrated in the 8-speed automatic transmission, supports the V8 and enables more than 60 kilometers of electric driving.
