e-Niro
A special front grille and blue decorative stripes quickly identify the Kia e-Niro as an electric vehicle.

Electric cars drive almost silently and with zero local emissions, are fast and particularly easy to operate. However, they only become interesting for new car buyers when they no longer have any disadvantages in everyday use.

Range with one charge 450 kilometers
That's where the new Kia e-Niro comes in. The purely battery-electric compact car, a corporate and technical brother of the Hyundai e-Kona, covers distances of up to around 450 kilometers on one charge of the 64-kWh battery. Even with the smaller 39-kWh version, it manages around 300 kilometers. At the same time, the five-seater offers a luggage compartment with a volume of 450 liters, the largest in the competitive field. Both outside and inside, light blue design accents indicate the alternative drive.

Powerful e-motors with up to 204 hp output
Models with the more powerful battery are equipped with a 150 kW (204 hp) engine, while the base models make do with 100 kW (136 hp). However, with the beefy torque of 395 Nm each, they make many a sports car driver despair when starting at traffic lights. Several levels of energy recovery can be selected with the paddles on the steering wheel. Once the most powerful one is selected, the e-Niro can be driven comfortably in "1-pedal mode". The driving mode selector can also be used to influence the driving experience.
The 4.38-meter e-Niro will be produced at the Korean plant in Hwasung and is expected to arrive at Swiss dealers in June. Prices are not yet known. However, they are likely to be between 45,000 and 50,000 Swiss francs.
