Honda: Jazz as a small top dog

FOLLOWER Plenty of space on rear seats and in the trunk with a length of less than four meters - how does that work? Honda knows the answer: it's called Jazz, the little top dog from Japan. It offers the best space in its class: there is plenty of room in the front and rear of the new Jazz, even for tall people. The Honda Magic Seats [...]

Jazz
The classic silhouette of the Honda Jazz has been retained in the new model and sharpened with eye-catching, sporty design innovations.
Jazz
In the Honda Jazz, all the controls are arranged so that you can find your way quickly even in stressful situations. A contribution to safety.

It offers the best space in its class: there is plenty of room in both the front and rear of the new Jazz, even for tall people. The Honda Magic Seats (meaning magic seats) provide optimum interior variability with four configuration options. The trunk volume of 354 liters can be expanded to 1314 liters by folding down the rear seats. The wide tailgate and low loading height ensure convenient access.

There is a choice of drives from 102 to 130 hp
The new Jazz is optionally equipped with the familiar 102 hp 1.3-liter i-VTEC or the new 1.5-liter i-VTEC with 130 hp and 155 Nm of torque. The latter surprised us above all with its frugality: consumption (according to the display) was between 5.3 and 5.4 liters. In addition, the test vehicle was equipped with the CVT continuously variable automatic transmission. It selects the optimum ratio among the seven simulated gears based on engine speed, throttle position and driver input. It shifts amazingly quickly when the shift paddles on the steering wheel are operated manually.

Reinforced body is available only for Europe
Honda developed a reinforced body and special chassis settings for the Jazz especially for Europe. In addition, the "Agile Handling Assist" (AHA) reacts to rapid steering movements or high cornering loads and automatically brakes the wheels on the inside of the bend when steering, without the driver feeling this on the steering wheel. Good marks also for deceleration: The disc brakes all around really pack a punch when needed.
The Honda Jazz is available from 18,700 francs (1.3-liter gasoline engine, manual transmission), with 1.5-liter gasoline engine from 23,900 francs (manual transmission and CVT automatic).
