This special version is reserved for customers who are involved in the sports activities of the sports car manufacturer from Maranello. Tailor-made for each buyer, the 488 Pista "Piloti Ferrari" was developed exclusively by AF Corse.
The Italian racing team fields various 488 GTEs in the two GT categories of the World Endurance Championship. With Alessandro Pier Guidi (I) and James Calado (GB) at the wheel, AF Corse clinched the drivers' and constructors' titles in 2017.
Just like in real racing life
Externally, the paint scheme alludes to the race-winning 488 GTE. A laurel wreath symbolizes the WEC title, while the inscription PRO corresponds to the class affiliation.
The Italian flag underlines the aerodynamic lines of the Ferrari. It runs across the flanks, to which a racing number is discreetly attached. This, too, can be designed by each customer according to his wishes.
The special look is also completed by the aerodynamic duct, the S-Duct in matte black, the vent surround and the suspended dovetail tail fin made of natural carbon fiber.
It is offered in four different racing-inspired color variants: Rosso Corsa, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona and Argento Nürburgring.
The interior is also tailored to each customer.
Engine of the year under the hood
The Ferrari 488 Pista "Piloti Ferrari" is powered by the latest version of the V8 turbo engine with 3.9 liters of displacement and 720 hp.
This engine recently received the International Engine of the Year Award 2018 for the third time in succession.
