The video of the Corvette Stingray premiere conveys the feeling of a pilot behind the wheel.

The next-generation Corvette Stingray embodies the sum of all its predecessors while being reimagined to provide customers with the optimum level of performance, technology, quality and amenities.

The start of production of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is scheduled for the end of the current year.

Performance limits for the old concept
Mark Reuss, President General Motors: "After the conventional front-engine vehicle concept reached its performance limits, the new layout became necessary. In terms of comfort and driving pleasure, the new model still looks and feels like a Corvette. However, its performance exceeds that of any previous model in Corvette's history to date." One can be curious.

The engine of the Corvette Stingray can be viewed through the thick glass panel of the tailgate.

Under three seconds to 60 mph
Externally, the new Corvette Stingray features a sweeping, futuristic appearance with unusual mid-engine proportions, yet remains unmistakably a Corvette.
Better weight distribution by shifting the center of gravity to the rear optimizes performance in terms of longitudinal dynamics just as much as lateral dynamics on the track. Driving figures are quoted at under three seconds from 0 to 60 mph (about 96 km/h) with the Z51 equipment.

Engine with 495 hp and 637 Nm torque
At the heart of the new Corvette Stingray is the next generation of Chevy's 6.2-liter small-block V8 LT2 engine, the only naturally aspirated V8 in this segment. When equipped with a performance exhaust system, it produces 495 hp and 637 Nm of torque. It thus achieves peak values in terms of horsepower and Newton meters of all previous base versions. The LT2 unit is paired with Chevrolet's first eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Leather and carbon elements in the interior
Manually crafted leather components with thick topstitching, cut and sewn specifically for the model, quickly create a sporty atmosphere. The stainless steel speaker grilles on the Bose Performance Series audio system are impressive, as are the carbon trim elements on the seats.
Customers can choose from the widest range of options ever offered for a Corvette when creating their personal design. Twelve vehicle colors are available to choose from when putting it together.
Further information on prices and equipment as well as European versions will be announced before the respective market launch.
