The GR Supra GT4 - the first Japanese car in this booming category - will be seen on Europe's racetracks from 2020.

The GT4 race car is based on the GR Supra, the first model launched by Toyota Gazoo Racing for the global market. The car is developed and produced at Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) in Cologne.

The three-liter inline six-cylinder engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger underwent a power increase to 435 hp. A 7-speed sports automatic with paddle shifters transmits power to the rear wheels via a mechanical limited-slip differential. The exhaust system is from Akrapovič.

Elaborate braking system
The front apron and rear spoiler are made of natural fiber composite. They help to limit the base weight to 1350kg. This can vary depending on the classification (Balance of Performance).

As with the GR Supra road version, the front suspension is a MacPherson strut design, while a multi-link suspension is used at the rear. KW dampers are fitted at the front and rear.

The braking system is more elaborate in line with racing requirements; special racing calipers with six pistons at the front and four pistons at the rear are fitted. The tires are from Pirelli.

Just under 200,000 francs
The high safety requirements of the GR Supra GT4 are met by a high-strength roll cage in the lightweight steel body, as well as an FIA-standard racing seat with six-point seat belts. The dashboard is made of carbon fiber; the display and steering wheel are specially designed for GT4 racing.

TMG will also take over the regional contacts for vehicle sales and after-sales service in Europe, including spare parts and technical support. The planned sales price is 175,000 euros (excl. taxes, customs and transport fees).
