Swiss-Moto 2018: Rarities of the army

More than 3000 examples of the 1972 Condor A 350 ran until 2002 with a modified 17 hp 348 cc Ducati engine.
More than 200 of these Universal A 1000 combat sidecars were in service from 1942 to 1969 with an anti-tank weapon attached.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Military Museum Wildegg and the Central Office for Historical Army Material ZSHAM, the first complete collection of all Swiss army motorcycles since the Second World War is on display at the exhibition. Among them rarities like the army scooters of Vespa and Lambretta. Only 20 each were mostly used in courier service.

Condor A 580 with special engine sound
Better known is the Condor A 350 with Ducati single cylinder, 3000 units ran in the army until 2002. Almost as many Condor A 580-I with boxer engine did their duty until 1982. Their two-cylinder 20 hp engines had a particularly recognizable sound. By the way, Condor built motorcycles in Courfaivre until 1978 and bicycles until 1997. Today, components for the machine industry are produced.
