Patric Niederhauser knows the sports car from Austria very well from last year. Together with girlfriend Marylin Niederhauser, he won two GT4 European Central Cup races at the Red Bull Ring in a KTM X-Bow GT4.

This guest appearance has now become a permanent commitment. KTM factory driver Reinhard Kofler from Austria and the Swiss will contest the GT4 European Series together. As in 2018, the factory car will be fielded by partner team Reiter Engineering.

Versatile task
The European GT4 Championship, which is run by the same promoter as the Blancpain GT Series, is contested in 14 rounds at seven events. The highlights of the past season show how the action is:

The Bernese will also carry out development work and test drives for riders. His joy is correspondingly great.

Patric Niederhauser: "The program is super. Reini Kofler is a top driver and I'm sure we can race for the title. The GT4 European Series is experiencing an upswing. Last year, the field was already extremely large, with a number of professionals on the grid. The performance density is certainly not as great as in some GT3 series, but it will also be a challenge here to be at the front in every race."

Further GT3 program in prospect
Niederhauser is not turning his back on GT3 because of this, however. On the contrary.

Patric Niederhauer: "A GT3 program is still in the works, but it looks very good that I will return to the ADAC GT Masters, also with a top partner. This should be clear in about two weeks."
