The short summary of the race led in the early stages by Patric Niederhauser.

The pole position was secured by Patric Niederhauser in the Audi R8 LMS from Lionspeed by Car Collection Motorsport. With a time of 7:52.374 minutes and an average of 185.634 km/h on the 24.358-kilometer combination of the Nürburgring short circuit and Nordschleife, the driver from Berne achieved a record lap never before achieved in a race event. However, official records only apply in races.

Too fast a pace for teammates
It was also the Swiss Audi GT factory driver who led the first third of the race. However, his fellow competitors Rocco Lorenzo, Patrick Kolb and Milan Dontje were unable to keep up the pace in the further course of the race.

In the end, the quartet was classified in 7th place, 6:38 minutes behind, but was rewarded with second place in the SP9 Pro-Am class.

Youngest overall winners ever
The BMW Junior Team also set a milestone. Daniel Harper (GB), Max Hesse (D) and Neil Verhagen (USA) claimed their first victory in the Nürburgring Endurance Series in the BMW M6 GT3. With a time just six hundredths slower in qualifying, they started from the front row like Niederhauser.

With an average age of 19.6, the BMW Junior Team is the youngest winning team in the history of the Nordschleife Series. In 1977, Marc Surer, who acts as one of the mentors, was part of the legendary first BMW Junior Team in the DRM and then in Formula 2.

Third success of Yerly
In the SP3T class, Frédéric Yerly celebrated his third win of the season with his two German teammates Andy Gülden and Matthias Wasel in the VW Golf GTI TCR of Max Kruse Racing. Jasmin Preisig was not entered this time, as the team only entered one car due to a scheduling conflict.

The direct competition consisted only of a Seat Cupra driven by the fast brother and sister team Mike and Michelle Halder, which they had under control at all times.

Rewarded finish
To obtain his Nordschleife license, Ricardo Feller started on two production-based Porsche Caymans from Mathol Racing. With the faster 718, the man from Aargau and his team partners won solo in the VT3 class, while with the Cayman S, despite the fastest race lap, he only managed second place out of two starters.

Alone in their class was also Michael Kroll with his daughter Chantal Prinz and her husband Alexander Prinz in the BMW M3 GTR from Hofor Racing in the H4 class. After crossing the finish line, they also received the trophies for it.

More valuable, therefore, was the performance of Ranko Mijatovic and Yann Zimmer in the V2T. In the 19-team production car class, they and their German colleague Christian Konnerth made it onto the podium in third place in the BMW 330i from FK Performance. For Zimmer it was his first start in the NLS, Mijatovic last won with the team at the 24-hour race.
