15:32: The 24h race at the Nürburgring is history. What a battle! You can see the relief on all the teams' faces.

14:51: There are still 40 minutes to go in Europe's biggest car race. We're at Falken Motorsports, where Alexandre Imperatori's mechanic crew is following the final laps. It's hard to stay awake after all the exertion...

2:23 PM: Still around an hour to go. A look at the V6 class shows that Ivan Yacoma has a good chance of a podium finish. With his Porsche Cayman, the Swiss driver is 35th overall and second in his classification.

14:02: Arturo Devigus is one of the surprises. The Swiss is racing towards victory in the SP7 class in his first 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. He currently occupies 16th place in the overall standings.

1:00 p.m: Numerous teams (including Hofor Racing) switch back to slicks. The track is too dry to continue with rain tires.

12:23 PM: Hofor Racing is one of the first teams to switch from slicks to rain tires again. Roland Eggimann and Bernd Kuepper take over.

12:07 PM: Nico Müller sits in the RTL Nitro commentary booth and talks live about his race so far.

12:03 PM: Great recovery by Alexandre Imperatori. The Porsche driver is in seventh place overall with 3.5 hours to go.

11:07 AM: Although Nico Müller no longer has any chance of a top result, his fans can still rejoice: The number 1 Audi has been back in the race for some time after the accident in the morning hours and is currently in 76th place.

10:40 AM: It's starting to rain slightly at the Nürburgring. That could bring some tension back into the fight for the first positions.

10:23 AM: A short pan from the Nürburgring to Monaco: In the Principality, Fach Auto Tech has just secured its second victory in the second round of the season. Matteo Cairoli - in conditions similar to those here at the Ring - was untouchable once again.

09:36: In the Opel Astra OPC Cup, a Swiss one-two is becoming increasingly likely. Only the order has not yet been decided. Tribelhorn has taken the top position from Vögeli.

07:56: Alexandre Imperatori is the best Swiss in the field after Müller's retirement. In eleventh place, he is fighting for a top 10 spot.

06:24: Nico Müller didn't stand a chance - because of oil on the track, the Bernese had an accident - that was it for the hope of a second victory.

03:49: In the Opel Astra OPC Cup, the two Lubner cars (Vögeli/Triebelhorn) continue to dominate. The two are separated by only about 30 seconds.

03:32: Half-time at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Mercedes-AMG dominates at the top. The best driver from Switzerland is Nico Müller in seventh place. Arturo Devigus in the Black Falcon Porsche leads the SP7 class.

01:57: Swiss double lead in the Opel Astra OPC Cup. Roger Vögeli (starting number 252) is in the lead. Stefan Tribelhorn, who also competes for Lubner Motorsport, is in second place.

00:54: We take a look at the SP8 class, where Urs Bressan from Zug, among others, is at the start. Bressan is currently in fourth place in the Ford Mustang.

00:02: Porsche driver Ivan Jacoma sums up the early stages of his race for AutoSprintCH. "I drove the first stint before the red flag ended the race. After me, Timo Möllig and then Marc Hennerici got into the car. That night, it's all about surviving." Jacoma and his teammates currently lie third in the V6 class with their Porsche Cayman S.

10:53 PM: Here, the driver himself lends a hand: Roland Eggimann helps his crew get the BMW back on its feet. The bodywork had been damaged in an accident.

21:51: Night falls and there are signs of a close battle in the SP7 class as well, with a Swiss driver also in the mix. Porsche driver Arturo Devigus, who is contesting his first 24-hour race, is currently third in the standings.

9:14 PM: According to the weather radar, the situation around the Nürburgring should relax. The probability of rain in the evening hours is decreasing. But we wouldn't bet too much money on that.

20:49: Bad news from Hofor Racing: The BMW with Martin, Michael and Chantal Kroll and Roland Eggimann has crashed. "We suspect that someone pushed us, which then led to the crash," the team says.

20:17: Another addendum to the race crash. Anyone who can't imagine what it was like at the Nürburgring should watch the following video. It was almost impossible for the WRT Audi to move on the slide with slick tires.

20:01: Just now we got the confirmation from the race control: The race will be restarted after this third formation lap. Click here for the livestream.

7:47 PM: The cars are on the move again, but it doesn't look like racing action yet. Because the rain is too heavy, the field is already on its third formation lap.

18:55: Hannes Gautschi, who is responsible for the Emil Frey Group, can breathe a sigh of relief: "Our two Lexuses have come back undamaged. Now we are preparing everything for the restart," Gautschi told AutoSprintCH.

18:19: Race control has announced that the race will continue at 19:20. At 18:25 the pit lane will be opened again.

17:03: It will be some time before it can continue. The crash barrier is being repaired. According to RTL Nitro, 67 vehicles have not returned so far.

4:20 PM: Race interruption of the 24-hour race. After just 50 minutes, the 44th edition of the endurance classic is interrupted with the red flag.

16:16: The scenes taking place at the Nürburgring right now are indescribable: Competitors are flying off in the Aremberg area every second. Hail and heavy rain have turned the track into a slide. It is not yet apparent whether Swiss drivers have been eliminated in the process.

4:09 PM: Rain! Who is not watching until now, should hurry the Livestream open. It's pouring with rain in several sections of the track. All the teams are on slicks and are struggling with the conditions.

4:03 PM: After a disappointing qualifying session (35th place), now the next setback for Swiss driver Alexandre Imperatori, who lives in China. Team-mate Martin Ragginger had to make an unscheduled stop. The reason was a loss of tire pressure at the right front.

15:41: Good first lap for the Audi squad around Nico Müller. Last year's winners have moved up from 22nd to 17th place. Some marshals report the first raindrops on parts of the Nordschleife.

15:36: The start took place without any incidents - all the cars of the first starting group got through well. The track announcer just warned that a thunderstorm is imminent in a few minutes. That will add an extra dose of spice to the game.

15:24: The field is on its formation lap and approaching the start-finish straight. Those who are not yet watching can do so here via livestream do

15:07: The starting grid is emptying, there are only a few minutes left until the race start. Michael Kroll of Hofor Racing just told us, "Depending on the weather, we will decide who will drive the start. There is a chance that it will rain for the race start." Hofor Racing is fielding two BMW M3 GTRs in this year's 24-hour race at Nürburgring.
