Kart-SM: Double joy for the KZ2 champion

Worlds ahead
All twelve drivers tackled the 20-lap race on rain tires - only five finished. Jérôme Huber's performance was outstanding.
The 14-year-old from Hütten ZH didn't let the precarious conditions bother him and celebrated his second final victory this season after two second places in the heats - with an incredible lead of more than 22 seconds over second-placed Hector Gerling and 24 seconds over third-placed Colin Würthenberger.
Elia Pappacena, who landed in the gravel bed twice, and Huber are now tied at the top before the final in Wohlen. Ethan Ischer is third, 39 points behind.
KZ2 master Rohrbassers double joy
In the switch karts of the KZ2 class, Nico Rohrbasser played out all his experience in the damp conditions and secured victories 7, 8 and 9 in the current season. With a lead of 85 points, he can no longer be caught at the finale in Wohlen.
However, the Geneva native was particularly proud of the performance of his protégé and Spirit teammate Nathan Neuhaus, who finished third in the final. Running second behind the successful defending champion in all three heats was Norick Lehner, who was competing in SKM 20221 for the first time.
Just a hair's breadth away from an early title win
The Super Minis (8 to 12 years) held most of their races in dry conditions. Three points were missing for SM leader Tiziano Kuzhnini to close the bag already in Levier. Or in other words: 47 thousandths.
That was how much he was behind winner Elia Epifanio in the final, who had already been successful in the first preliminary heat. The Spirit driver, who has already won nine of twelve heats, should easily take home the title at the home race in Wohlen.
Duel of the two Bernese
In the X30 Challenge Switzerland Savio Moccia and Kilian Streit proved their supremacy once again: Streit was ahead in the first heat, Moccia in the second heat and in the final.
In both cases, however, Streit was always within striking distance. In the championship, Moccia leads before the final in Wohlen with 268 points compared to Streit's 214.
Näscher reaches for second title win
In the category OK Senior the omens speak for Patrick Näscher. However, after his victory in the first preliminary heat, the 2018 champion had to make a real effort and settle for second place behind Lyon Mathur in the second preliminary heat.
The Sarmenstorfer was also unbeatable in the final. Mathur won ahead of Antonio Lagrotteria and Samuel Sätteli. Thus, a trio stood on the podium that has never made it onto a winning picture together this season.
The Liechtensteiner, however, only managed fifth place with a rain set-up on a drying track. Lyon Mathur is now the first chaser in the championship, 47 points behind. Franciacorta winner Lukas Muth is now only third, 67 points behind.
