The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) awarded Goodyear the contract to equip the TCR touring cars running in the FIA World Cup WTCR with uniform tires. This agreement is effective immediately for three years.

Goodyear will supply Eagle F1 SuperSport racing tires. A global campaign will also be launched in cooperation with WTCR promoter Eurosport Events, on whose TV channel all races will be broadcast.

From the LMP prototypes to the TCR touring cars
In the second half of 2019, Goodyear had announced its increased involvement in motorsport. The company will return to Le Mans, the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the European Le Mans Series as the exclusive tire supplier to the LMP2 sports cars from the 2020/21 season.

In Germany, several national racing series will also be supplied by Goodyear from the start of the 2020 season.

The agreement with the FIA WTCR is reminiscent of the days of the European Touring Car Championship in the 1970s and 1980s, when Goodyear and its teams enjoyed numerous successes. More recently, Goodyear was the sole supplier to NASCAR.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, Mike Rytokoski, Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of Goodyear and Gérard Neveu, CEO of the FIA WEC and ELMS sealed the new partnership, which concerns the LMP2 category.
