On the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the tire manufacturer will equip numerous teams in the VLN Endurance Championship and the 24-hour race. At the same time, the participants of the BMW M240i Racing Cup as well as the starters of the TCR class will start exclusively on Goodyear.

Furthermore, the participants in the two amateur sports series DMV GTC and DMV NES 500 with their touring cars and GT vehicles will also be exclusively equipped with racing tires of the brand. This also affects Swiss teams and drivers who are represented in all these racing series.

Anticipation of the competition
The decision is intended to strengthen the Goodyear brand in the motorsport and ultra-ultra-high performance (UUHP) segments. This year, the company returned to this segment with the launch of the Eagle F1 Supersport line of street tires, making a successful comeback in European and international sports car racing.

Following the entry into the World Endurance Championship, the motorsport commitment in the European Le Mans Series was further expanded. In the UK, Goodyear returns as the exclusive tire partner of the British Touring Car Championship.

Alexander Kühn, Motorsport Product Manager EMEA: "As we enter Germany, Goodyear will focus on GT and touring car racing. We look forward to exciting competition between tire manufacturers and working in partnership with racing series and motorsport teams. Having already successfully developed a new range of tires for Le Mans prototypes at its innovation centers in Hanau and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, Goodyear will expand its tire offering for German and European motorsports with new products in the coming year."

Record winner in Formula 1
Goodyear tires have been used to take 14 victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and win 368 Formula 1 races - that's a record. (ampnet/jri)
