Daytona and Formula E: Louis DelĂ©traz saves Swiss honor đŸŽ„

SCHAD, SCHAD It almost worked: Geneva's Louis Delétraz was only beaten by the sister car at the 24 Hours of Daytona. Second place is nevertheless an absolute top result.

Acura, the team from Louis Delétraz, took a double victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona (the video shows the start). Unfortunately, from the Swiss point of view, the car with the #10 was in second place. The victory went after 783 laps to the sister car with the drivers Tom Blomqvist, Colin Braun, Hélio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud. Final driver Blomqvist clearly beat Delétraz's teammate Filipe Albuquerque in a 35-minute sprint at the end of the race.

Rahel Frey in 18th place in class

The rest of the Swiss left Florida without any podium finishes. Raffaele Marciellos Premiere in LMP2 ended after an accident from teammate. Also Philip Ellis did not finish the race. The driver from Zug collided with Garcia's Corvette. The contact sent Ellis into the same wall that Lucas Auer had crashed into in the first practice session. Rolf Ineichen finished the race in GTD in twelfth place, 15 laps behind the class winner. Rahel Frey was 18th in the same class.

Sébastien Buemi the best swiss

At Formula E races 2 and 3 in Saudi Arabia was Sébastien Buemi the best Swiss (gallery left). The driver from Vaud secured important points for the championship with positions 4 and 6 and is now in third place there after three races. In the first race Buemi put his electric racer on pole position: "A nice present in my 100th race. Unfortunately, we didn't quite have the pace in the race to finish on the podium." Edoardo Mortara secured his first points with 9th place in the second race. Nico miller retired in both races (after a training crash).

Stabilizers not according to regulations

Annoyed at the weekend has certainly also Joshua Dufek (Gallery right). The Frenchman took his first victory at the Formula Regional Middle East in Kuwait. And that, nota bene, in a field that also includes Kimi Antonelli, who is being hailed as a new superstar. But Dufek's joy over his first victory did not last long. During technical scrutineering, it was discovered that the rear stabilizers on his car did not comply with the regulations. Dufek was disqualified and after two of five races is now in eleventh place instead of second (behind Antonelli).
