Under the motto "Le Mans 2030: Design for the Win," individuals and teams of designers can register their entries until August 1, 2016. Manufacturers, automotive suppliers, independent design studios, full-time designers as well as design students and pupils can participate. As one of the most prestigious races in the world, "Le Mans" is the ultimate proving ground for vehicle developers to test unusual ideas, technical innovations and endurance. Likewise, the 24-hour race provides the automotive industry with the ideal backdrop for creativity and design. In recent years, the focus has increasingly shifted to fuel savings, alternative drive systems and also low rolling resistance tires. At the same time, the prototype regulations offer companies plenty of freedom for technical innovations.

Unveiling is at the Detroit Motor Show 2017
The Michelin Challenge Design competition has been promoting creative approaches and innovations in vehicle design since 2002, giving them an internationally respected platform. Through the competition, Michelin aims to underline the high importance the company attaches to design. The visions of the competition entrants are judged by a top-class jury of leading global automotive designers and industry experts. The top-ranked creations will then celebrate their public premiere at the Detroit Motor Show. In addition, the winning design will be exhibited during the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2017.
