Volkswagen will have its own stand at the ESAF in Zug from August 23 to 25, 2019, and will be showing two special VW SwissLine models available exclusively for the Swiss market. Also at VW is a life-size wooden cow from Trauffer Holzspielwaren AG - carved for this year's festival.
Sports event with 300 000 visitors
With over 300,000 visitors, the Swiss Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival is the largest sporting event and folk festival in Switzerland and takes place every three years. As a mobility partner, Amag supports the event with Volkswagen and VW Commercial Vehicles, which are used as shuttles and as set-up and dismantling aids. The "Büetzer Buebe" will also present the official ESAF song "Maa gäge Maa. The two musicians can be met exclusively at VW for an autograph session on Saturday, August 24 from 1 to 2 p.m., and on Sunday, August 25 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Special Golf and Tiguan models
With the SwissLine special models Golf and Tiguan, available exclusively for the Swiss market, Volkswagen is presenting two new models with attractive equipment packages.
Depending on the model, the SwissLine package includes additional equipment such as the "Discover Media" navigation system with App Connect and VW Media Control, the "Rear View" reversing camera, the "Park Assist" parking assistant and the blind spot sensor with parking assistant.
Raffle of the biggest Trauffer wooden cow
A life-size wooden cow, carved by Trauffer Holzspielwaren AG in the Bernese Oberland, is also on display at the VW stand. Visitors can take part in the raffle for the wooden cow. The work of art is the largest Trauffer wooden cow ever raffled off. It weighs around 580 kilograms and is 155 centimeters high.
