Porsche: The 911 Carrera GTS cracks every curve
Roughly two and a half years after the market launch of the 992 series, the Porsche 911 family has been joined by the GTS. The new generation starts out as powerful, dynamic and independent as never before.

The new edition with a six-cylinder boxer engine produces 480 hp, 30 hp more than in the current 911 Carrera S. The turbocharged three-liter delivers a maximum torque of 570 Nm, 20 Nm more than its predecessor.
According to the factory, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupé with eight-speed dual-clutch transmission needs 3.4 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. The GTS is also available with a seven-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, a seven-speed manual transmission is also available for GTS models.
Six-cylinder boxer engine has bite
Despite being turbocharged, the six-cylinder boxer engine responds almost bitingly and accelerates with plenty of power up into the upper speed range, and it harmonizes splendidly with the lightning-fast shifting dual-clutch transmission.
The chassis copes excellently with the GTS's performance, with the rear-wheel-drive variant being even slightly more cornering than the all-wheel-drive version. Lowering the suspension, as well as the Turbo's additional springs and high-performance braking system, raise the GTS dynamically to a higher level than the S model. This enabled us to easily crack every bend on narrow mountain passes.
Black is the dominant color
The GTS models are available at prices starting at 178,000 Swiss francs in the Coupé, Cabriolet and Targa body variants and with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Swiss customers benefit from an extended warranty as well as from the surcharge-free Porsche Swiss Package, which includes power-folding exterior mirrors, power steering Plus, tire sealant with compressor, darkened LED matrix headlights with Dynamic Light System Plus, and a Bose surround sound system.
Black is the dominant color in the interior. Numerous components made of the microfiber material Race-Tex create a dynamic ambience. In addition, the latest generation of Porsche Communication Management offers improvements in operation and connectivity.
Characteristic temples including lettering
Externally, the 911 GTS has been given a number of black or darkened details, such as the characteristic bar with lettering on the Targa 4 GTS. Other elements painted in silky black include the lip of the front spoiler, the alloy wheels with central locking and the GTS lettering on the doors and rear.
Sporty details include a GT steering wheel, Sport Chrono Package with mode switch, Track Precision app, tire temperature display, and sport seats with electric four-way adjustment. Apple Car Play and Android Auto make perfect use of the phone's functions.
This makes a car really fun in any situation.
