Oldtimer Grand Prix: Treasures on two and four wheels 🎥
WHERE YOU MEET After a two-year break, the Oldtimer Grandprix on August 20 at the Autocenter Safenwil will once again feature loud engine noises and the smell of gasoline and diesel. This Saturday for the 30th time.
On the occasion of this anniversary event, the popular rallies across the Mittelland will take place again.
On site you can look forward to many classic cars, motorcycles and motorcycles as well as culinary highlights in the area of the Autocenter Safenwil.
Friends of old motorcycles and sidecars
Throughout the day, car rarities of all brands, vintage 1970 and older, as well as gems from the Emil Frey Museum can be examined on the grounds of the Autocenter in Safenwil and on the secured racetrack. Various parcours drives are on the program.
The riders, some of them dressed in original tenues of bygone eras, proudly show off their oldies. Also this year, the Friends of Old Motorcycles (FAM) round off the spectacle and present their motorcycles and sidecars on the race track as well as in the paddock.
Exhibition James Bond and Switzerland
In addition to the attractive field of participants, the classic car collection as well as the special exhibition "James Bond, Switzerland and the Car Lust of the 60s" of the Classic Center Switzerland can be visited on the other side of the freeway.
Visitors will be chauffeured in the original London Bus to the Classic Center, where they can immerse themselves in the long history of the exclusive vehicles.
Round trips on the course
The doors to the premises of the Autocenter Safenwil (Download Site plan) will open on Saturday, August 20, at 10.00 am. At 10.30 a.m. the start of the Oldtimer Grandprix will take place, followed by circuits on the parcours route according to the program. At 13.30 the Big Corso will start. All participants of the rally will do their laps on the course. The oldie fun will end at around 5.30 p.m.
