The teaser for the 16th Arosa ClassicCar was created before Corona. How many competitors will start and how many spectators may be present, is not yet determined.

The organizing committee has expanded the existing and well-established safety and protection concept in recent weeks with the recommendations from the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH. As a result, the canton of Graubünden has granted permission for the staging of the 16th Arosa ClassicCar - a unique international mountain race in Europe for best time and as a uniformity test.

Not everything as usual
The joy in the OC is great. However, participants as well as officials and especially visitors of the popular event in the Grisons resort will have to get used to the fact that not everything will run and be as usual. The exact regulations and recommendations of the protective measures for this year's event will be communicated on the website from August 2020.

Still few starting places free
Because the contingent of starting places has not been exhausted following a number of cancellations by frightened or uncertain participants, the entry deadline is being extended in consultation with Auto Sport Schweiz. Drivers can now register until midnight on June 30, 2020.

Hoping for the absence of a second wave
So, if the infection rate of Covid-19 does not increase dramatically again in the coming weeks, with possible consequences, nothing will stand in the way of the first car race on Swiss soil this year.

Until then, only vintage and classic events without a comparable sporting character and without a large number of spectators will take place. Also, all races in Switzerland registered in the calendar of ASS have long been canceled by the end of August.

Arosa will once again be under the spell of vintage cars and classic racing vehicles on the first weekend in September. However, spectators and participants will have to comply with various measures.
