Volkswagen had the pleasure of three classifications among the top ten: The team ""Frank&Frank" in the new e-Golf won the WAVE Trophy 2017, directly behind them the team "E-Youngsters" classified, also in the e-Golf. The eighth place was taken by the team "Volkswagen" with the new e-Golf. The two other teams "Alpiq" and "Grand Tour of Switzerland" in the e-Golf follow in 24th and 53rd place.

Electromobility suitable for everyday use
Volkswagen, as the official partner of this year's Trophy, and all the other participants were able to prove once again with this seventh edition that electric mobility is suitable for everyday use and also provides a lot of driving pleasure. In total, around 175,000 kilometers were covered emission-free during the WAVE Trophy. The electricity used came from sustainable sources.

Test drives with e-Golf in demand
The new e-Golf has been on sale in Switzerland since April. The new e-Golf achieves up to twice the range and has even more power than its predecessor. The output of the e-motor has been increased by 20 hp to 136 hp. The manufacturer offered test drives with the new e-Golf at several locations. The offer was taken up by many and gave a first impression of the dynamic driving style.
