2650 electric cars for IOC and IPC

This summer, Toyota will support Paris 2024 with 500 zero-emission Mirai vehicles. They are part of a fully electrified fleet of more than 2650 vehicles provided by Toyota in its role as mobility partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). After the Games, all Mirai vehicles will be integrated into the Paris hydrogen cab fleet.

Quick detection of accident risks

The Mirai uses new safety and driver assistance functions to detect accident risks and relieve the driver. The detection range of the safety sense systems has been extended by the use of a new camera and a new radar system. The accident avoidance system can now detect possible head-on collisions, and the intersection assistance system for collision avoidance has an extended range of functions and recognizes approaching traffic as well as cyclists and other vehicles.

The emergency steering assistant now recognizes motorcyclists as well as pedestrians, cyclists and parked vehicles. The new acceleration suppression at low speeds protects against sudden, unintentional pressure on the accelerator pedal.

Updated traffic information

The Mirai 2024 features the modern Toyota Smart Connect Plus multimedia package, which is operated via a newly designed 12.3-inch touchscreen. It provides access to the cloud-based navigation system, which provides continuously updated real-time traffic information. As an alternative to the touchscreen, the driver and front passenger can use voice commands and the in-vehicle assistant Hey Toyota.
