The KSR Group of brothers Christian and Michael Kirschenhofer has acquired all shares in JB Töffhandel GmbH, founded and managed by Jakob Bruderer of Switzerland, with effect from March 1, 2020.
Largest independent importer
The Swiss importer will thus become KSR's sixth country office after branches in France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, and in the medium term will operate as "KSR Switzerland", according to reports from Gedersdorf in the Austrian district of Krems, the headquarters of the KSR Group.
With over 60,000 vehicles sold each year, KSR is one of the largest independent two-wheeler importers in Europe. Among other things, the company distributes the Benelli and Royal Enfield brands as well as Niu electric scooters. With Brixton, Malaguti and KSR Moto, and as a joint venture partner of Lambretta, the importer is also a manufacturer.
Trade with well-known brands
JB Töffhandel GmbH - one of Switzerland's best-known importers - has been distributing KSR Group brands in Switzerland and Liechtenstein since 2011. In addition, the company founded and managed by Jakob Bruderer also acts as a distributor for the Benelli, CF Moto, Niu, Royal Enfield and Sur-Ron brands imported into Europe by KSR.
Expansion and new jobs
With the acquisition, KSR secures direct sales in a "strategically important country in Europe". The aim is to sustainably expand sales in Switzerland and make it fit for the future, as well as to create new jobs.
