With Travel Safety in the TCS app, members can rely on help and advice from the experts.

With the introduction of the new membership, Touring Club Switzerland has modernized its core offering. The offer also includes variants for families, couples and young people and extends mobility cover to include bicycles and public transport. It also includes personal coverage, accident and comprehensive legal protection, and legal information.

Help and safety in any situation
In addition to numerous new products, such as TCS Car Assistant or the eCharge trailer for charging broken-down electric cars, TCS has revised another product this year with the renewal of its ETI travel insurance policy.
The ETI now also provides assistance in the event of loss or damage to luggage, rental cars abroad, payment of medical expenses or cancellation of events in Switzerland.
TCS has introduced another innovation for its members in need. General Manager Jürg Wittwer: "With the integration of Travel Safety in the TCS app, members around the world can rely on the help and advice of TCS experts in the operations center."

Successful political commitment
In 2018, the TCS continued to campaign in the political arena for modern, safe, efficient and affordable mobility. For example, the TCS contributed to the adoption of the Federal Decree on Cycling, which takes into account the importance of the bicycle as a means of transport.
The proposals for a 100 km/h speed limit for caravans and for passing on the right on freeways, which will soon be included in the legislation, should also help to improve the flow of traffic.
And in the current year, the TCS wants to advocate in particular for a speedy implementation of the strategic development program of the NAF as well as a goal-oriented, reasonable and implementable solution in the debate about the new CO2 law.

Confirmation of the Board of Directors
Five members of the Board of Directors were up for re-election at the TCS Delegates' Meeting. Christoph Buser (Beider Basel), David Erard (Neuenburger Jura), Heinz Jucker (Appenzell AR), Michael Meier (Uri) and François Membrez (Geneva) were unanimously confirmed in office. Finally, the delegates appointed the former board member and former president of the Solothurn section, Fritz Arni, as honorary member for his services to the central club.
