The traffic police of the canton of Vaud opted for the Skoda Kodiaq "Active", which, according to the manufacturer, already offers versatile equipment in the basic version.

In the coming weeks, the Vaud cantonal police will take delivery of more of the total of nine SUVs intended for police use. Due to their versatility and reliability, the vehicles of the traditional brand are also very popular as special vehicles in the "blue light" sector - these include police, fire and ambulance organizations.

Already over 50 vehicles
With the nine new Kodiaqs for patrol, the Vaud Cantonal Police currently has a fleet of over 50 Skoda vehicles. The large SUV impressed those responsible for vehicle management at the Vaud Cantonal Police with its spacious interior and luggage compartment, which can hold up to 2065 liters.

Good cooperation
Capitaine Rossi, head of the Vaud traffic police, is delighted: "The vehicle perfectly meets our stringent requirements for an emergency vehicle and also attracts the necessary attention in road traffic thanks to its impressive appearance," says Rossi. "We would like to thank AMAG Lausanne and AMAG Etoy for their excellent cooperation during the procurement process."

All wheel drive on board
In addition to the 150 hp TDI diesel engine, all nine Kodiaqs for police use have permanent all-wheel drive to ensure safe progress at all times, even in difficult road conditions, when the police emergency number 117 is dialed or the traffic police have to ensure safety, protection and order on the roads.
