With Olivier Rihs, the Geneva Motor Show has a new director who is very familiar with both the automotive industry and the digital world.

Oliver Rihs began his career as the manager of a garage in Biel before being appointed District Manager for two different car brands in Bern and Biel. From 2002 to 2017, he performed various tasks for Scout24 Schweiz AG in Flamatt.

During this time, Oliver Rihs also served as a director of AutoScout24 for four years. In 2011, he was elected Group CEO, with responsibility for managing various digital platforms. Rihs held this post until his departure last April.

2019 is the last salon with André Hefti
His extensive experience in the field of digitization, particularly in connection with the automotive industry, was one of the main reasons for the Board of Trustees to appoint him as the new director.

Olivier Rihs will start his new position, which will be full-time, on February 1, 2019.

He has earned his retirement: André Hefti is organizing the Auto Salon Geneva for the last time in 2019.

André Hefti will bear full responsibility for the organization of the Geneva International Motor Show 2019 and will also remain the main contact for exhibitors, the public and media representatives at this show.

The 89th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show will be held at Palexpo from March 7 to 17, 2019.
