The automotive industry has found itself in a difficult market environment since the abolition of the EU minimum limit. Market overview: An analysis of the development of asking prices can be found on the Eurotax website. There it can be seen that the Volkswagen Group models are declining slightly in terms of sales price.

On the one hand, the lower price segmentation in neighboring countries is attracting customers; on the other hand, the abolition of the minimum euro limit in January 2015 has placed additional demands on garage owners in Switzerland. As a result, the prices of new and used vehicles have fallen across the industry in Switzerland.

Dealers of the Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda and VW Commercial Vehicles brands are also confronted with the diesel issue. AMAG itself evaluates the price changes of all vehicle models on a weekly basis. This evaluation checks the prices of used vehicles and also includes models that are affected by the diesel issue. Taking into account the days the vehicles have been parked, which is necessary for a well-founded evaluation, no anomalies have been identified to date. Price fluctuations have occurred and continue to occur, but these are normal for the market and moderate compared to the overall volume.

Eurotax confirms stable prices in Switzerland
As a brand-independent authority, Eurotax has also been regularly checking the development of sales prices for over 50 years and has not noticed any unusual fluctuations. This is the current conclusion of Eurotax: "There has been a slight fall in value compared to other vehicles since September 2015, but at the same time anything but a fall in value. The residual values are definitely competitive and the losses are low."
