Market: VW Tiguan is current high-flyer

It made big headlines - especially among supporters of the electric drive. Tesla's Model 3 was the car with the highest number of new registrations in March (1094). This picture changed again in April. As expected.
However, the Model 3 also featured in the top ten new car registrations in April - with 495 vehicles. Five other models recorded a higher number of new registrations. The high-flyer of the month was the Volkswagen Tiguan with 713 registrations.
Skoda Octavia still well in the race
The Skoda Ocatvia remains consistently at the top. More than 3,000 vehicles were registered in 2019 - 800 more than the Tiguan, for example. Subaru dealers also had a good month, as the XV model doubled its registrations this year in April (460).
By contrast, April was less good for the Mercedes A-Class. With 310 registered vehicles, the A-Class ranked just 18th in the monthly statistics, dropping from 5th to 7th place in the annual rankings.
