Lucky Star: First location in Dübendorf

INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION After years of steady growth and successful positioning as market leader in Austria, Lucky Car, the largest contract-free domestic garage chain, is now coming to Switzerland.

Lucky Star
In 2008 Lucky Car was founded by Ostoja Matic, self-made man with Bosnian-Herzegovinian roots.

Lucky Car opened its first location in Switzerland in September 2021. The foundation stone for international expansion was laid in Dübendorf ZH. More are to follow soon.

Dream come true for me

Lucky Car founder and owner Ostoja Matic: "The business idea of offering spot repair for paint damage has developed into Lucky Car, the largest independent player in repairs, which now also has an international presence. This is a dream come true for me. I am very happy to be represented with my company in Switzerland."

Sales up 22.7 percent despite pandemic
Founded in 2008, the company now operates 40 Lucky Car branches throughout Austria. All repairs in the areas of paint & bodywork, mechanics and auto glass for all car brands are offered there.

Economically, things are also going according to plan. Despite the pandemic, Lucky Car was able to increase its sales from 23.2 million Swiss francs to 28.5 million Swiss francs in the past fiscal year. This corresponds to an increase of 22.7 percent.

Around 30 branches are planned in Switzerland
A further location is already planned for 2022. In the long term, Lucky Car intends to operate around 30 branches in Switzerland. The plan is to cover the entire region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
