At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, brand subsidiary Jeep is showing plug-in hybrid versions of the Wrangler, Renegade and Compass. They are the first steps in the brand's strategy to offer electrified model variants in every model series by 2022.

The vehicles, which can be recognized by the "Jeep 4xe" logo, are to be launched on the market this year. They will make their European debut at the Geneva Motor Show (March 5-15) in early March.

Virtual ride through Hell's Revenge
In the "Jeep 4×4 Adventure Experience," visitors can experience one of the most spectacular off-road routes in the U.S. with the help of virtual reality. To do so, they take a seat in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, whose four wheels stand on hydraulic plates. Electronically controlled, these rams simulate the vehicle's movements over the rocky terrain.

The virtual ride takes you along the legendary Hell's Revenge trail near Moab, Utah. After each section, the electronic system awards points. Drivers can access their points via an application on their smartphone and compare themselves with other teams. Jeep will also present the "Jeep 4×4 Adventure VR Experience" at other trade shows in the future.

The focus is on interaction
The Airflow Vision design study on the platform of the Chrysler Pacifica PHEV provides a preview of the next generation of premium vehicles. The focus is on passenger interaction with technology during a journey with the vehicle. The user experience created by the on-board electronic systems is based on large-screen monitors with multi-layered graphics. Using the menu, the displays of the multi-display monitors can be personalized, simplified and regrouped according to personal preferences and needs.

American premiere Fiat Centoventi
Following its world premiere at the Motor Show last spring, the Fiat Centoventi concept car will also be shown to the North American public for the first time in Las Vegas.

The electric car can be freely customized in many areas - even after purchase. The concept is to produce the vehicle in just one color. The 4U program can then be used to customize the roof, bumpers, wheel covers and color scheme in four variants each.

Various parts of the interior are designed according to the plug-and-play principle. The dashboard has prefabricated holders into which a variety of additional components can be plugged thanks to the patented mounting system.

Car sharing information
The freedom of individual design also applies to the electric drive of the Centoventi. The energy storage system is a modular battery pack that offers a high degree of flexibility. The standard battery enables a range of around 100 kilometers.
Those who need more can buy or rent up to four additional batteries, each of which increases the range by around 100 kilometers.

The concept car also takes urban mobility solutions into account. A small monitor can be viewed through the windshield. For car sharing, it displays information on usage status or parking fees, for example.

Another display in the tailgate can become a rented advertising space when the vehicle is stationary, for example. While driving, it shows the Fiat logo.
