AutoEnergyCheck
The AutoEnergyCheck at a garage of the Auto Gewerbe Verband Schweiz takes 20 minutes.

During the AutoEnergieCheck, tire pressure is checked and increased if necessary. The exhaust system, fuel system, air conditioning and electrical consumers are also checked.

Unnecessary ballast or luggage racks that are not needed also increase fuel consumption and should be removed. The car owner can see all the potential savings on the personal AEC certificate that is presented at the end of the AEC.

Saving 200 liters of fuel
The AutoEnergieCheck helps car owners to drive as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible. This not only saves CO2, but also money thanks to lower consumption. The average saving is around 200 liters of fuel per year.

Since the start of the AEC in 2013, the approximately 1100 certified AGVS Garagists have carried out more than 50 000 AutoEnergyChecks. In the process, they have saved around 60,000 tons of CO2 with their customers.

Cooperation with SwissEnergy
The program is supported by EnergieSchweiz, the energy-saving program of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). The cooperation with the AGVS has now been extended by two years.

Markus Peter, Head of Technology & Environment at AGVS: "We are very pleased to have SwissEnergy on board as a partner for this useful and sustainable service."
