Crafter customers can choose between the Basic and Comfort equipment variants.

The VW Crafter people carrier is being built by the bus specialist "Bus Modification Center". The basis is the Crafter 35 panel van with a wheelbase of 3640 millimeters.

VW Commercial Vehicles offers three power levels of the 2-liter turbo diesel engine. The high-torque units deliver torques from 300 Nm and outputs of 102, 144 and 170 hp. Depending on the drive type, an 8-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission is used.

Practical assistance systems on offer
The second-generation Crafter is the first vehicle to feature numerous driver assistance systems. The standard multi-collision brake, for example, can help prevent secondary accidents.

Available for the first time in the configurator as an option are the Front Assist environment monitoring system including city emergency braking function, the Blind Spot Sensor lane change assistant including parking assistant, the Trailer Assist trailer maneuvering assistant and the Park Assist parking assistant.

The Crafter is also offered as an optional extra with a new generation of automatic cruise control and distance control ACC, the Lane Assist lane departure warning system and a flank protection system.

Two equipment variants are available
The conversion to the Basic version costs 15,742 Swiss francs and includes a special floor with six seat rails and end strips at the rear and sliding door, wheel arch covers and six removable individual seats with integrated 3-point seat belts.

The equipment scope of the Comfort conversion version, which costs 22,506 francs, additionally includes fold-down armrests, window pillar and side panel trim, and an electric step on the sliding door.

Both conversions can be ordered immediately from any VW Commercial Vehicles partner in Switzerland.
