Like this Porsche tractor, all the vehicles in the auction can be seen in action in front of the gallery.

On the day of the auction, interested parties can then bid live in a relaxed manner by telephone or via the Internet from home. It is even possible to follow the auction via the Internet (invaluable.com and swissauctioncompany.com). And, of course, you can deposit written offers in advance.

On-site tracking is out of the question because of the current ban on gatherings, but thanks to the Internet and Co. bidding is no problem. Telephone bidders and written bids are also welcome. It is advisable to make prior arrangements with the Oldtimer Galerie.

Reinhard Schmidlin, owner of the Oldtimer Galerie and organizer of the auction, is breaking new ground.

From each car a video
Organizer Reinhard Schmidlin: "After the print catalog irrevocably rolled off the assembly lines at Jordi Druck, we had to adapt to the current official directives in two additional stages. This meant acting. The auction vehicles were driven out to the main portal. This very short carpet drive was filmed. At some point, all the pictures and films were on our computers and, for the most part, already viewable on our website."

Important: From now on, the auction vehicles can be viewed daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. after prior registration with correct social distancing.

Classics from new decades
Offered are 83 automobiles, two tractors and one motorcycle. On average, the vehicles are 45 years old.

Ten decades are represented in the catalog. The largest group, with 49 vehicles, are the post-war vintage cars with vintages from 1948 to 1989, while the youngtimers are still represented with 28 lots.

This 124 CSA Spider Abarth 1973 will surely find a new owner at the auction.

Chance to get a bargain
In addition, there are six cars that are not yet 20 years old, including the Cadillac XLR Roadster 4.6 from 2004, which is estimated at 22,000 to 26,000 francs. However, it is being offered without a minimum bid, as is the case with almost exactly one third of the vehicles. So anyone looking for a bargain could well get their chance at the end of March.

The 86 vehicles are spread across 37 brands. Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar have the largest share (nine cars each), followed by Porsche with five vehicles and BMW, Ferrari, Ford, MG and Rover with four cars each.

Good opportunity for Jaguar fans
In Toffen, two interesting pairs will go under the hammer, namely two Jaguar E-Types each as coupé and convertible and two XJ-S V12s also as coupé and convertible.

In addition, there is also a Jaguar XJ-SC, which was estimated at only 15,000 to 20,000 francs. But the E-Types should also be auctionable for a five-figure sum.

Mercedes-Benz for every budget
It could be a little more expensive for the two Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, one each from 1956 and 1960 will be auctioned, the estimated prices are 85 000 to 95 000 for the older, 115 000 to 125 000 for the more expensive car.

But you can also drive a Mercedes convertible for considerably less money, as an E 220 Cabriolet from 1995 (14,000 to 16,000 Swiss francs) and an SLK 230 from 1997 (12,000 to 15,000) are also looking for new owners in Toffen.

Various roadster for summer
Another duet is played by the two MGBs, a coupe and a convertible each, offered for 10,000 to 12,000 francs (GT) and 18,000 to 22,000 francs (Roadster). And for only a little more, one could also buy an MGA Coupé from 1962 or a TD from 1951 at auction.

Nash Rambler without minimum bid
Also worth a closer look is the 1954 Nash Rambler Custom, a comparatively compact American designed with the help of Pinin Farina. At 20,000 to 30,000 francs, the estimated price is relatively open, especially since the car is being auctioned without a minimum bid.

Legendary French for families
The Renault Heck was as much a part of the Swiss street scene in the sixties as the VW Beetle. It too had the engine in the back, but it offered four doors and was thus at least a bit more suitable for families. The offered example shows the patina of a 60-year life and is offered for 10 000 to 15 000 Swiss francs (without minimum price).

Sports car elite under hammer
Bids for the Porsche 911 Carrera Speedster from 1989 will have to find their way into significantly different price dimensions. The red speedster with a flat windshield was estimated at 170,000 to 180,000 francs.

If you like red, but not German sports cars, you are advised to take a look at the offered Ferrari Testarossa from 1985. It is an early example with driver-side mirrors (monospecchio) and central locks. Offered is the two-meter wide sports car with Pininfarina design for 95 000 to 125 000 francs.

Triumph 1300 as a special rarity
Only very few classic car connoisseurs have seen a Triumph 1300 on the road in recent years. Introduced in 1965, Standard Triumph responded to the Austin/Morris 1100 with this four-door model, designed by Giovanni Michelotti.

The Triumph 1300 looks like a small Dolomite, but had front-wheel drive. The offered blue model from 1969 is said to have covered only 6500 kilometers and is offered for 4000 to 6000 francs, nota bene "sans reserve".

Citroën Ami 8 in good condition
Red was certainly not the most common color in which the Citroën Ami 8 was delivered. But it suits the four-door excellent. The Ami 8 inherited in 1969 and showed more modern, but at the same time no less practical.

The offered car from 1971 was restored on the body side a few years ago and presents itself according to the catalog in good to very good condition. The estimated value was 8000 to 10 000 francs.

Two very special rovers
For fans of British sedan culture, the two V8-engined Rovers are certainly worth a second look. On the one hand, there is the P6 3500 from 1972, a Swiss first delivery that is now said to cost 14,000 to 18,000 francs.

Almost a miracle, on the other hand, is the SD1 Vanden Plas from 1982, which looks almost like a new car with its Ferrari Daytona styling. It has just 28,000 kilometers on the clock and comes with a luxurious interior including air conditioning, power steering and leather upholstery. That makes 15,000 to 18,000 seem almost like a bargain.
