Latest 60-second update of the 24H Spa 2021 with first action scenes and schedule.

The 73rd edition of the 24 Hours of Spa forms the annual season highlight of the GT World Challenge. The third and biggest endurance race of the year on the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps will see 58 GT3 sports cars from nine different manufacturers go head-to-head. Fortunately, spectators are again allowed in relatively large numbers.

Poster a good omen for Emil Frey Racing?
The official poster shows, among others, the Lamborghini of Emil Frey Racing with starting number #14, driven by Ricardo Feller, Alex Fontana and Rolf Ineichen. The Swiss trio also wants to attract attention on the track this weekend.

After Feller/Fontana last provided the first triumph of a silver pairing in the GT World Challenge at Zandvoort, they are again hoping to finish as far ahead as possible on Switzerland's national holiday and at least hear the national anthem in their category. In Thursday's qualifying session, Feller already set the fastest lap time of all the competitors.

Compared to last year, the team from Safenwil will be starting with three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo cars. The other two teams, Costa/Altoè/Perera and Aitken/Lappalainen/Rougier, are also good for a top place with a bit of racing luck, especially as all three teams qualified for the top 20 super pole qualifying session on Friday evening and will therefore definitely have a good starting position.

The WRT Audi with Nico Müller is one of the favorites for the podium, which the man from Berne already knows. He's just never been at the top.

Müller and Niederhauser in top Audi teams
17 trios will be competing in the top Pro class and, together with the fastest silver teams, will decide among themselves the victory that will bring many points and prestige. With the two GT factory drivers Nico Müller and Patric Niederhauser, two Swiss drivers in top Audi teams are in with a chance.

Raffaele Marciello from Ticino starts with ASS license but competes in a Mercedes-AMG as usual under Italian flag. On Thursday, this car leads the list of the Qualifyings an, which included the cut of three sessions.

The Swiss participation in the Silver Cup is really big and strong. In addition to Feller/Fontana/Ineichen, the SPS Mercedes duo Miklas Born/Yannick Mettler, the freshly crowned DTM winner Philip Ellis (Mercedes), Julien Apothéloz (Porsche) and Lucas Legeret (Audi) are hoping for a sense of achievement with their respective team partners.

In the Pro-Am category, Daniel Allemann (Porsche) and Yann Zimmer (BMW) are in with a chance of a podium and a top ten finish.

The eye-catching Porsche from Hägeli by T2 Racing also wants to impress with performance. The Swiss team is competing in Spa for the first time.

Swiss fight for Am category victory
Other teams besides Emil Frey Racing from Switzerland are Kessel Racing with a Ferrari 488 (Pro-Am cat.) manned by three Italians and one German, and Hägeli by T2 Racing with a Porsche. Pieder Decurtins is flying the Swiss flag alongside three Germans.

If the man from Graubünden finishes, he will also be on the podium in the Am category, where another Porsche from Huber Motorsport with Niki Leutwiler, Ivan Jacoma and two Germans is the only opponent.

Here the complete updated Start list with details of nationalities, licenses and status of all drivers.

Everything in livestream
The best 20 grid positions will be determined on Friday evening, July 30, from 7:50 to 8:20 p.m. in Super Pole Qualifying (individual time trials). The start of the 24-hour race will be at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31.

On the website intercontinentalgtchallenge.com and on the YouTube channel everything can be followed live from Belgium.

The 24-hour race is also decided in the pits and pit lane, where traffic is sometimes heavy.

New starting position at the Hungarian GP
The last Formula 1 race before the summer break is scheduled for Sunday in Hungary. The polarizing incident at Silverstone, in which the world championship leader Max Verstappen crashed and the eventual winner Lewis Hamilton benefited, showed how close the title battle between the two alpha dogs is and how the pendulum can swing between Red Bull Honda and Mercedes from one race to the next.

Both teams looked very evenly matched in England, and Ferrari was also very fast once again, to the delight of all the tifosi. Now it's on to a completely different circuit. The Hungaroring is an angular high-downforce track and will probably suit the Mercedes competitors better.

Swiss television will report live from qualifying on Saturday on SRF Info from 2:55 to 4:§0 p.m. and will broadcast the Hungarian GP live on Sunday on the same channel from 2:20 to 4:45 p.m.

Fabienne and Fach in GP preliminary program
The supporting program will also feature the W Series with Fabienne Wohlwend, the Porsche Supercup with the three drivers from Fach Auto Tech from Sattel SZ and the FIA Formula 3 with Jenzer Motorsport.

After the great second place in Silverstone, there is only one higher goal for the Liechtensteiner - finally a victory. Whether she succeeds can be seen on the TV channel Channel 4, which is also available in Switzerland, and on the Facebook page of the women's racing series can be followed live on Saturday from 4 p.m. onwards.

Due to the Olympics broadcasts on the sports channels, the Porsche one-make cup will only be shown by Sky Sport on August 1 from 12.10 p.m. as well as by the streaming service f1tv.formula1.com broadcast live.

The highlights from the Formula 3 races can only be seen afterwards on YouTube.

Fabienne Wohlwend wants to build on her top result from Silverstone.
